The Ripple Effect

About a week ago I was sitting inside,
trying to escape the heat, when I looked outside and it was raining!
It reminded me of a tropical storm…
humid hot with the relief of some cool rain!
It was so amazing! I ran outside to enjoy it and saw the rain falling into the pool.
I had to grab my camera and get a ripple shot!
And it inspired me to do more movement shots!
Enjoy :)

The Getty Museum

This last weekend I went up to UCLA to visit Nathan.
With a day to enjoy Spring Break together, we decided to jam pack it with fun things!
We started with walking around Westwood in search for some yummy food!
We ended up getting street tacos at Whole Foods! DELICIOUS

Neither of us had been to the Getty Museum, so we headed there next.
Traveling as a child as well as studying in England has made me appreciate museums and art alike.
I love admiring the artists techniques as well as learning about the controversy many artists experienced concerning their art.
Not only does the Getty have a great array of art pieces; sculptures, sketches and paintings ranging from the 1300's till now with Jackson Pollock's Mural, it has gorgeous gardens that you can enjoy outside.

With people spread out on the grass lawns enjoying the sunshine and others walking throughout the gardens enjoying the various flowers and vegetation, it reminded me of a painting in itself.

Edition 3

The Count

"Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sun one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine! Then the fates will know you as we know you."
- Alexander Dumas, The Count of Monet Cristo
